We completed an extensive renovation of our sanctuary, upper narthex and lower narthex. Our entire facility is air-conditioned. The building is accessible with ground level entrances, an elevator, and accessible washrooms. A no-smoking policy was adopted in July, 1990.
The church itself seats 350 including the large balcony. Bethany's pipe organ is a fine instrument which has undergone significant expansion in recent years.
Bethany's building provides space for the various congregational programs of worship, learning, music, and fellowship. In addition, Bethany has a ministry of hospitality to our community, providing space for AID – Association for Individual Development, Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon groups, as well as several other community organizations.
Bethany acquired the Bethany Ministry Center, formerly a school building immediately east of the church several years ago. Our Sunday School program is located on the second story of the Ministry Center. The remaining areas of the building are being utilized by Bethany for various meetings, along with other not-for-profit community groups, Mutual Ground, and Elderday Care Center.
The Congregation Council has established that church facilities are to be used in accordance with Bethany’s mission to the community – for worship and Christian education, as well as social, witness, support and service activities. If you want to use the church facilities for one or more of these purposes, you must complete a request form. There are three options for completing a form.
NOTE: In order to view, download and print the "Request for Use of Facilities" form, you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat plug-in installed on your system. The program is currently available at no cost. If you are unable to install the plug-in, please call the Church office at (630) 879-3444 or contact us by email or request a printed copy of the form.
