What We Believe

Living Our Faith and God’s Grace

Bethany is very much a relational church. We focus on the relationship we are blessed to experience with God, and on the family of brothers and sisters we are blessed to live within both as a congregation, and as a larger community. It is in relationships that we experience God’s promises of steadfast love and mercy in Jesus Christ. This means that we are called to boldly share love and joyfully serve everyone we know and meet on a daily basis.

We acknowledge that God is ever at work around us, and that we should be attentive to ways in which we can be active as the Body of Christ in the world today. We try our best to be Christ-like, welcoming all who come to our doors and lowering ourselves to the place of servant to all, especially those who may be marginalized within our world. At Bethany, we take our role as a reflection of God’s Grace and Love very seriously.

Faith is about studying Scripture, serving the world, welcoming the stranger, and living in fellowship. Faith inherently leads to love and relationship. Jesus even washed the feet of Judas on the night Judas was to betray him. That tells us all we need to know about what it means to be the Body of Christ for our world.
